About the Bike Project

The Impact Bike Project has been a huge success since it began in January 2011. Our team deliver a 12 week program to groups of young men who are finding traditional education difficult. The small group setting enables the Impact team to develop new skills and build the young men’s self-esteem and confidence. The Bike Project team has seen the young people they are working with make positive changes, and this has been echoed by their teachers and their parents.

During school holidays the Bike Project team host ‘Open Sessions’ at some local garages and also a BMX tack. These are open to all young people to come along and receive professional help with repairing their own bikes.

We hope to deliver the project in more schools and in new and exciting ways in the future. Anyone wishing to volunteer to help on a project or who can donate a bike please email neil@impactmakingadifference.co.uk

We are really grateful to our friends at Muc Off for giving us a load of their amazing bike maintenance, cleaning and lubricating products.

This is what young people who have taken part on the project think.
